Terms of Service
Terms of Service
Terms governing the use of pdfcustom.com, including guest use, accounts, and optional paid plans.
Last updated: 2026-06-15
Scope and provider
Top Team GmbH operates the PDFCustom website and related PDF workflow tools. These Terms of Service govern access to the public website, guest-mode use, account-based features, and any future paid subscriptions unless separate written agreements apply.
Permitted use
- You may use the service only for lawful purposes and only with content you are authorised to upload, process, convert, or store.
- You remain responsible for checking whether your use of uploaded material complies with copyright, confidentiality, employment, secrecy, privacy, and sector-specific legal duties.
- If you create an account, you must keep your access credentials confidential and accurate.
Prohibited use
- No illegal, infringing, fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive use.
- No attempt to interfere with the service, reverse engineer protected service components, bypass technical limits, or test vulnerabilities without permission.
- No upload or processing of malware, harmful code, or material you are not entitled to process.
- No use of the service to violate data-protection law, export-control law, sanctions law, or third-party rights.
Guest mode and accounts
Some features may be available without registration, while saved history, profile functions, and subscription-related features may require an account.
We may refuse registration, suspend access, or require additional verification where necessary for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
PDF processing responsibilities
You are solely responsible for the files, documents, and instructions you upload or process. You must ensure that your files are free from malicious code and that you have all necessary rights and permissions to process them.
You are also responsible for reviewing the output before relying on it for legal, financial, regulatory, medical, or operational decisions.
- No guarantee that converted, compressed, split, or edited files will be error-free for every possible source document.
- No guarantee that output is suitable for legally sensitive workflows without user verification.
Service availability and changes
We strive to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, specific processing speeds, or permanent availability of all tools or features.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue individual features where required for maintenance, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or product development.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid subscriptions and live checkout are not currently active on pdfcustom.com.
If paid plans are activated later, payments and recurring billing may be processed through Stripe. Plan scope, pricing, invoicing cadence, cancellation timing, and any refund handling will then follow the details shown at checkout or in a separate commercial offer at the time of purchase.
Until then, pricing information on the website is informational and does not by itself create an active paid subscription.
Intellectual property
All rights in the website, software, branding, copy, layout, and non-user-created content remain with us or our licensors unless expressly stated otherwise.
You retain your rights in your own documents and content, but you grant us the limited rights technically necessary to operate the service for the requested processing and account functions.
Termination and account suspension
You may stop using the service at any time. You may also request account deletion through the settings area or by contacting us.
We may suspend or terminate access where required for security, non-payment, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or material breach of these terms.
Liability limitations
We are liable without limitation where required by mandatory law, especially for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, and where liability cannot be excluded by law.
For slightly negligent breaches of essential contractual obligations, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Any further liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
The above limitations also apply to our legal representatives, employees, and agents.
Applicable law and disputes
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, unless mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
If you are a merchant, legal entity under public law, or special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction shall be the registered office of the provider where legally permitted.
