How Sign PDF works
How this tool works
Sign PDF lets you draw your signature with a mouse, finger or stylus, or type it and choose a style, then place it on the page. You can also add the current date, and the signature is embedded into the exported PDF.
When to use it
Use it for everyday approvals — internal sign-offs, order confirmations, simple contracts or forms where a visual signature is accepted and no certificate-based signature is required.
What to expect
The exported PDF shows your signature at the chosen position. This is a visual signature: it shows intent to sign, but it is not a certified digital signature with cryptographic proof of the signer's identity or tamper protection.
Limits and important notes
A drawn or typed signature is not a qualified electronic signature and does not carry certificate-based legal effects. If a recipient requires a certified or qualified signature, use a dedicated signature provider.
A practical example
You draw your signature once, place it on the last page of a purchase confirmation and send the signed PDF back by email.
